Celia Cruz known as “La Guarachera Del Mundo” was a musical force of nature.  Loved by millions of fans worldwide who remember her vivacious stage personality, powerful voice and her infectious cry “Azzzuuucccaarr”.   Born in her beloved Cuba, Celia became popular with the legendary Sonora Matancera then later moved to the US once the Cuban revolution took over in 1959.  She connected with Tito Puente for recordings on Tico but it wasn’t until she recorded with Johnny Pacheco for Fania in 1974 that it catapulted her into worldwide stardom.  Enchanting fans with her voice and showmanship with the likes of Puente, Pacheco, the Fania All Stars, Willie Colon, Sonora Ponceña and for her final act, Gloria and Emilio Estefan.
